while attending the High Point Furniture Show, i came across these amazing mounted antlers, a man by the name of Jim Pruitt has been collecting and selling horns and antlers for over 20 years. Since i am so in love with antlers, skulls, and horns i feel that everyone should have one in their living space...

my great friend Sarah Hovis and her mother Sally Hovis have always had an eye for great accessories. over the past year they have started their own jewelry line, S.Carter Designs. sarah and sally are both inspired by bone, tusk, snake vertebrate, wooly mammoth, rocks, and even walrus penis... but they have mixed these materials with diamonds. they are selling some of their amazing pieces at Rebecca Boutique in Buckhead. they are very talented and both have the amazing style i will update everyone with their new pieces and trunk shows over the summer!

i have been so lucky to have such a creative person in my life to inspire me everyday...

sarah joyner is the artist of smile & nod papergoods! she has created greeting cards that are full of surprises...

not only did she just have her thesis show, she is a full time student, doing an internship for a marketing firm, working at Zoe sharing her creative eye in makeup, but planning a wedding that is going to be breathtaking...

defense/survival/growth

so those of you who do not know i am finishing up with 

my B.F.A. this May! 

below are a few images that give you a glimpse into what has led me to my thesis final.

i have been making dresses for the past year using domestic objects, such as trash bags, coffee filters, rags, brown bags, etc.... 

the medium that i have selected to use within my thesis show are materials that will best reflect my style, 

antlers + skulls... 

japanese paper + burlap & canvas

my show will be an evolving dress form that will grow through the gallery.
